Your brain doesn't remember facts. It remembers stories, emotions, and experiences.
When you study vocabulary lists, you forget 80% in the next 24 hours. That's how human memory works.
But when you learn words through a story, you remember.
Why?
Because stories create Emotional connection and you remember in Context
This is how children learn their first language.
This is how your brain naturally learns a language. And it works at any age.

I really enjoy this English course.
George is a great teacher, and the lessons are well organised and interesting.
We practise everything: listening, reading, speaking, vocabulary, and grammar.
The Millers family stories help me learn real everyday words and expressions, and George helps us with the pronunciation.
The exercises show me what I understood, and the grammar practice helps me use it in real life.
The short videos help me understand real English.
The Wednesday speaking session is the best part for me, because it helps me break my fear of speaking.
Step by step, I’m making progress. Thank you, Alex Academy!

This course helps me feel more confident.
I listen first, then read, repeat, and practise new words - and I really enjoy learning with The Millers. The stories are interesting and fun.
I feel more confident during our online speaking sessions, and I use less Bulgarian now. I prefer topics about life, work, and family - they help me speak more easily.
Grammar is becoming clearer to me. Sometimes I forget rules when I speak, but I see real improvement every day.
I will continue. Thank you!

This is my second English course.
At first, I thought I would give up - but the group atmosphere helped me continue.
The lessons are clear and practical.
The listening videos challenge me in a good way, and the speaking sessions push me to relax and really talk.
Grammar is still hard, and I make mistakes - but I’ve learned that practice is more important than perfection.
I feel I am improving. Learning is fun, and I’m motivated to continue.
Thank you, George, and thank you to the whole group!

It’s easy to follow and friendly.
You will see progress every week.
You will learn through stories, not tests.
You will speak and feel more confident.

Absolutely not. Over 70% of our STARTER students are 40+, and many are 50, 60, even 70 years old. Your brain doesn't expire. In fact, older learners often progress faster because they're more disciplined and motivated. Our oldest successful student started at 72. Age is not your barrier - self-doubt is.
Yes. The course starts from zero. If you can follow this page (even with translation help), you can succeed. Yes, it's hard at the beginning but George is always there to help you.
Use the auto-translate subtitles in the videos. Ask questions in the community. Email George directly. I support you at every step. You won't be left confused and struggling alone.
Everyone in Wednesday sessions is at beginner level. Activities are designed for people who know very little English. You'll start with simple introductions, basic questions, easy topics. No one expects fluency - everyone's learning together.
You can listen during the first live sessions and not speak if you want. Most students are shocked how quickly they feel comfortable - everyone's making mistakes, everyone's encouraging each other. There's no judgement, only support.
Everyone in the beginner sessions is making mistakes. That's the point. No one's fluent yet. No one's judging. Everyone's nervous at first, and everyone relaxes within 10 minutes. The people who "look stupid" are the ones who refuse to try - and they never improve.
No problem. Life happens. The live sessions are valuable but not mandatory. Your daily practice continues regardless, and you can join the next week's session. Hop-on/hop-off means no guilt, no penalties. And the topics for discussion at the Live sessions are not connected with the daily lessons.
Because traditional methods set you up to fail. They demand perfection before practice. They correct you constantly. They bore you with grammar rules. We do the opposite: you practise from day one, mistakes are welcome, and you learn through an engaging story. That's why it works.
These lessons are designed for real beginners. If The Millers can learn English while moving to a new country, working new jobs, and raising two kids, you can learn it for 15-30 minutes daily. And if life gets busy? Pause anytime. Resume later. No pressure.
Yes. Consistency beats intensity. 20 minutes every day builds fluency faster than three hours once a week. Your brain needs regular exposure to create automatic language pathways. Short daily practice is scientifically proven to work best.
More than 1.5 billion people speak English worldwide. Most of them aren't native speakers. Most started as adults. Most felt it was "too hard" at first. If they can do it, you can too. You're not uniquely incapable - you've just never been taught in a way that works for adult brains.
Yes, if you practise daily. The Millers' story is specifically designed to take you from zero to A2. Thousands of beginners have completed this journey. You won't be fluent yet, but you'll speak confidently about daily topics.
You'll be ready for LearnAbility MAIN - our intermediate course for adults who understand English but want to become fluent. It's the natural next step in your journey.
If you love it (and we think you will), you're automatically enrolled in the monthly plan you have subscribed to. If not, cancel anytime during the trial - no charge, no questions, no hard feelings. Your trial gives you full access to everything, including live sessions.
No refunds on Speaking and Monthly plan: you have a 7-day free trial, cancel anytime (you're never charged until Day 8). Annual plan: Full refund within 7 days if you're not satisfied.
