Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Alex Academy website and the courses, live sessions, and private lessons offered through it (the "Services").
Alex Academy is operated by George Alex, Sofia, Bulgaria. By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or booking a session, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Who we are and how to contact us
Alex Academy is a Bulgaria-based provider of online English-language courses and coaching, run by George Alex. You can reach us at info@georgealex.net.

Our services
We offer subscription-based online courses (currently LearnAbility Foundations and LearnAbility Mastery), private one-to-one lessons, and live group sessions, delivered online via our course platform and Zoom. Course content, pricing, and plan details are described on the relevant course pages at the time of purchase.

Free trial and payment
Where a free trial is offered, a payment card is required at signup, but you will not be charged during the trial period stated on the course page. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the full subscription fee for your selected plan will be charged automatically at the end of the trial, and thereafter on each renewal date, until you cancel. Prices are shown in euros and do not include VAT, as we are not currently VAT-registered.

Cancellation
You can cancel a monthly or annual subscription at any time from your account or by emailing info@georgealex.net. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund amounts already charged, except as set out below. Access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Refunds and your right to change your mind
Where a plan specifically states a money-back guarantee, that guarantee applies as described on the relevant course page.
Separately, if you are a consumer based in the EU, you generally have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. Because our courses give you immediate access to digital content, by completing your purchase and accessing the course materials you expressly agree that this immediate access begins right away, and you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once that access has started.
If you do not want to lose this right, please contact us before accessing the course content.

Live sessions
Live sessions (such as Fluency and Accuracy rooms) are held at the times stated on the course page and are subject to change with reasonable notice. Recordings, where provided, are for your personal learning use only.

Your content and conduct
You agree to use the Services respectfully and not to share your account access, course materials, or session recordings with anyone who has not purchased them. We may suspend access for misuse.

Intellectual property
All course materials, videos, texts, and exercises are the property of Alex Academy / George Alex, unless otherwise stated under the specific resource, and are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only. They may not be copied, redistributed, or resold.

Disclaimer
We aim to deliver our Services with reasonable skill and care, but we do not guarantee specific learning outcomes, as these depend on individual effort and practice. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will let you know by email or a notice on the website. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. Complaints and dispute resolution If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@georgealex.net so we can try to resolve it directly. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of Bulgaria. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, this does not remove any mandatory protections you're entitled to under the law of your own country of residence.
